A Tutor You Can Trust

Fully qualified, fully cleared, and the same teacher every session.

Hi, I'm Eylish.

Primary school teacher & founder of Ignite Tutoring

I've spent the past ten years teaching in primary schools across Western Australia — in public, Catholic and community settings — with students from Kindergarten through to Year 6.

If there's one belief that shapes my teaching, it's that every child learns differently. I have extensive experience supporting students with dyslexia, autism, ADHD and other diverse learning needs, and what I've always enjoyed most is getting to know each child as an individual: how they think, what interests them, and what's getting in the way of their learning.

Children learn best when they feel heard and have a genuine say in their own learning. That's why I take the time to understand each student's interests and goals, not just their academic gaps. When learning connects to something a child actually cares about, they don't just catch up — they start to enjoy it. That's what lasts.

I also work closely with families. You'll always know what we're working on, how your child is progressing, and what comes next.

Ignite Tutoring grew out of this approach. I wanted to offer families something genuinely different from the big platforms: a qualified classroom teacher who knows the Australian curriculum thoroughly, remembers your child's name, and arrives prepared every single time. When you book with Ignite, it's just you and me — no algorithms, no rotating tutors. One teacher, genuinely invested in your child's progress.

Fully qualified teacher

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a Certificate IV in Education Support, and I'm a qualified classroom teacher, not a university student or a tutoring-platform contractor.

Cleared & safe

I'm TRBWA registered, with a current Working With Children Check and a National Police Check. Every safeguard is in place.

Evidence-based methods

I draw on the same approaches used in WA classrooms, including Explicit Instruction, Letters and Sounds, and Talk For Writing.

Personalised assessments

Diagnostic assessments identify exactly where your child is, so every session targets what they actually need rather than a one-size-fits-all program.

Every learner welcome

I've supported students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD and diverse learning needs, because every child is capable when the teaching is right for them.
